What to Thank Them For?
When you receive a gift or someone does something nice for you, it is fairly easy to know what to thank them for.
"Dear Wife, Thank you for doing the laundry for our family!"
"Dear Friend, Thank you for the gift card to my favorite restaurant!"
"Dear Friend, Thank you for the gift card to my favorite restaurant!"
These "Thank You's" are fairly easy to figure out. The basic idea is to show gratitude for a gift or action that is fairly obvious.
Some of your "Thirty Thank You's" may be easy like this, but I would challenge you to take one step further when you thank someone.
Thank You For Your Example:
When you send someone on your list a Thank You, consider thanking them for "their example". Thank them for being a good example for you to model your life after. Thank them for their devotion to an idea or passion. Thank them for their attitude towards others or themselves. Thank them for their willingness to listen or willingness to say what needs to be said.
The people in your life (past and present) have and will shape the person you are. You should consider thanking them for doing that.

Thank You For Your Service:
We are surrounded everyday by people who provide us some type of "service". It may be the waitress at the restaurant or the barista at our coffee shop. It may be our mail carrier or the janitor at our school / work place. It may be the worker that is pouring a new road in our town, or the dentist that cleans our teeth. We may not realize it, but we rely on these people for our lives to continue to improve and for us to be successful.
Consider thanking them for their service. Thank them for their care, compassion, reliability, dedication, attention to detail, attitude, drive, passion, etc.
You may have never considered giving a thank you card to a worker who is paving the street near your house, however, think about what it would do to the both of you if you did. Would it improve their day? Would you look at road workers differently?
MORE TO COME!
